In 2017, Paula worked with the Association of Metropolitan School Districts on a project called
Reimagine Minnesota, an initiative to create a collective education plan to address equity,
integration and excellence in Minnesota Schools. Paula was hired to facilitate the community
convening process and create the collective education action plan. For this initiative, Paula
assembled a dedicated team of skilled staff and facilitators and implemented a “backbone
organization structure” to project manage, support and facilitate. The team was responsible for
guiding the vision and strategy, support aligned activities, help to build public will, facilitate
community conversations, document the process through visual, video and data collection, and
assist with writing the collective education action plan.
